1. What does HIV services Planning involve?
In a nutshell, HIV services Planning involves a number of activities that strive to ensure that
HIV positive clients have access to services that promote their health and well-being. For
example, one aspect of HIV Planning involves organizing a survey study or “needs
assessment” as a means of collecting information from clients. The final report for this study
is then used as one of the documents used to make funding decisions for clients that receive
HIV care services.
2. How can I get involved?
If you are a provider or client receiving services in one of our HIV Service Delivery Areas
(HSDA), you can participate in any of our planning activities. Simply review the Planning
Activities section to determine when we will be in your area. From there, you can call the
Resource Group for specific dates, times, and locations of activities.
